Zum ersten Mal in ihrer 218-jährigen Geschichte ist die britische Zeitung «The Times» am Mittwoch im Kleinformat erschienen. Die handliche «tabloid edition» ist nur halb so gross wie die gewöhnliche.

Die Herausgeber glauben, dass die kleinere Version in vielen Situationen des täglichen Lebens einfacher zu handhaben ist - vor allem in der vollbesetzten U-Bahn.
